Surprise!!!!

Enjoy this video of Jadon. Hopefully there will be many more to come! We enjoyed a full thanksgiving holiday with friends and family. Jadon was such a trooper with all the new faces and places we visited, I am thankful that his character shined through despite all the changes. Jadon's left ear seems to be healing nicely. I'm amazed at how much he has grown in such a short time! One of my co-workers sent me pictures that she had taken in July (or August) and he has changed so much! I praise God that he continues to grow and hit those developmental milestones. He is pretty much able to pull himself up into a standing position and is "scooting" better on his bottom and reaching for objects just out of reach. We continue to encourage him to crawl, but, whether or not he ever does..... we'll see. He is eating consistently now and seems to tolerate all kinds of tastes so far.

A couple cute pictures I wanted to share with everyone. Jadon is opening a present from Lani - Thanks for the cool socks! And then he is enjoying trying his new teeth on a peeled apple.

Praying that everyone has a thankful Thanksgiving.

Jadon had a good day today. He played well at daycare and continues to eat his food. Dr. Burton just said "Oh, you're one of those!" He let Dr. Burton look in both his ears and sure enough, he has ruptured his left eardrum because of a middle ear infection. We get to try antibiotic ear drops for the next 48 hours. If there is not significant resolution of the drainage by then she will switch to systemic antibiotics. Thanks for your prayers. I am certain that Jadon's behavior has not changed despite everything that has been happening. Please pray that the infection will respond to the topical antibiotics.

Prayer Request

Pray for Jadon's left ear. I noticed drainage out of it this evening and called the physician. She said that because he didn't have a fever (98.4) that I could wait and see them in the office tomorrow (11/13). She stated that he probably had a middle ear infection and the ear drum burst and that is why I am now seeing drainage. Pray that Jadon's ear is healing well, that he will not need systemic antibiotics and that no inner ear scarring will occur. Also pray for peace of mind for me, because I keep going over the last week in my head wondering if I missed something that Jadon was trying to tell me. In the last week, Jadon is eating food better, laughed and played with us, and slept well. If he really had an ear infection, he fooled us.
