Week in Review
We had a full week this week! Highlights for us were fellowship with our house church and Solid Rock Downtown launching. Will and I tried something new before heading off to house church, we took the boys outside and kept them moving for 2 1/2 hours straight and then fed them their favorite dish of peanut butter and jelly with "yo - yot" (that's Jadon for yogurt). The goal was to have them sitting for part of the evening. When outside, Ian heads straight for the slide that is on the property here and he goes down on his belly even if there is a puddle of rain at the bottom! And Jadon wants to go around on his scooter or pull his car with a string. Ian has added a couple words to his vocabulary - however - I can't remember what they are now...... Playdo has also entered our house! Ian will not eat it! And Jadon will ask us to make him things... so we sit down with him and model how to, and then put the two together to show him what we did!
We are looking forward to our next week and growing in Him!

Conversations with Jadon
While at Target with Jadon pulling the cart.
Jadon, "oh oh mommy, cart in middle of aisle, can't get through!"
Keeps heading down the aisle and turns to the lady with the cart,
"Excuse me!" (say please) "Please!"
young lady, "here, I'm sorry, I'll make room for you."
(say Thank you) "Thank you!"

Some of my favorite things
Holding Ian on my lap, blowing on my spoon to cool down food and watching Ian start blowing as well....
Ian's growing vocabulary
- da da
- weee weeee (fire engine siren)
- maum maum (milk)
- cat (caterpillar tractor - the first boy in the car and strapped in gets to play with it. We try to use it as a motivator for Jadon to get shoes and coat on and to the car on his own).
- mooo mooo (more)
- hot (describes fireplace, stove and coffee)
- tau (truck)
- Hi
Some of Jadon Favorite Things:
- Sliding really fast down the stairs
- Big wheel/scooter
- Reading books. Jadon's favorite books to read right now are books I had as a child. The Little Bear series and a book called "My Birthday Land Adventure". My Aunt and Uncle got me this personalized birthday book when I was 4 or 5 and Jadon loves it.
- Pancakes with maple syrup
- "Obey Ups"
- School buses and trains
- Balloons

Nice quiet morning....
Very few and far between, so I relished in the 20 minutes I had to sit and breath.

Ian is now walking well and starting to run. When in public, they have to either hold each others hand or mine so that I am not running in 3 different directions! They prefer to hang onto each other. He is learning his words, they are the words that Jadon uses, so..... a fire engine siren, "da-da", "hot", "j-don". He is a really good listener and helper and does everything big brother does and vice versa! I enjoy his smiles - he is full of joy - his laughter, his willingness to obey and the accountability he offers for me to consistently correct naughty behavior in both my little men.
Jadon is growing mentally and physically! He loves to run, jump, climb, ride - motion, motion, motion. He also loves to sit and look at all his books. He knows a lot about animals and cars/trucks. And because his vocabulary is increasing tremendously, he is learning the proper way to ask for things and talk in general. He is our servant. He loves to help and then tell everyone "I'm helping!" I try to consistently use his servant heart to his advantage and keep him out of trouble. He also has a really good memory - so Dad and I are trying to stock it full of God's word. He surprised us by learning Isaiah 9:6 in a week! It's hard work cause Mom and Dad have to be consistent and remember to teach Jadon the verse......
